Toys for children

They were distributed toys for children during Christmas among social services users by the Town Council according to needs.

Four companies from the Rosanes industrial estate –Camacho Cosmetics, Metarom Ibérica, GMV and Adeesa– gave the town’s Social Services toys for children of families in Castellví going through difficult times. The toys came from charity donations that the industrial estate’s business association, in coordination with Social Services, organised for Christmas among companies in the area. Castellví de Rosanes Town Council distributed the toys during the festive period among families with children that were users of Social Services, according to needs identified and depending on the ages of the boys and girls.

The presentation of the toys took place on Friday at midday attended by representatives of the four companies that participated in this charity collection and of Castellví de Rosanes Town Council, led by the Mayor, Lluís Tomàs, and the Councillor of Social Services, Victoria Castellanos. As the Town Council told the companies, the toys would be distributed among families in difficulties that use Social Services, and depending on the age of their children. In the case of there being more toys than needed or if some were unsuitable for the age of the children using Social Services, they would be passed on to other organisations the Town Council normally works with, such as the Red Cross, to be sent to children in similar circumstances in towns neighbouring Castellví, with the approval of the companies that participated in the collection.

Tomàs, Castellanos and social worker Montse Peña thanked the participating companies for their charitable work in support of the boys and girls of Castellví who are going through difficult times, hoping that joint ventures of this kind can be repeated in the near future.
